“Our history is closely tied up to fashion", Jacques-Antoine Granjon reminds us. In the beginning, it was the prêt-à-porter brands that drove the success of Veepee, which was voted on numerous occasions. Veepee was voted "Millennials' 4th favourite fashion retailer" by Joko in 2019.

Today, 60% of the flash sales organised by Veepee are dedicated to fashion. These historic ties forged with ready-to-wear brands depend on the unique expertise of the Digital Factory creatives who stage the products for each sale, and do so in strict compliance with the identity and image of the brands.

Home

It was in 2002 that Veepee inaugurated the first flash sale dedicated to the home universe.
Fine tableware, home linen, etc. there were more and more sales and they were rapidly requested by members.

To deal with this success, in 2005, Veepee created a team dedicated to the home universe.

“I was raised with the Gault&Millau and the Michelin Guide by parents who loved fine foods and wines” confides Jacques-Antoine Granjon.

That is doubtless one of the reasons that pushed Veepee to launch in 2013 an offering that honours the specialities of small producers from French regions.

According to a Veepee* “Food & Beverage” survey, 2 out of 3 members say they discovered new brands thanks to Veepee and 83% of respondents say they would be ready to buy more products from Veepee’s Wine & Gastronomy range, which testifies to quality of the products available on the website.

The first sales dedicated to wine on Veepee were launched in 2007.

Veepee has been the leader in online wine flash sales since 2012, offering an average of forty new wine, beer or spirits sales per month. In 2021, more than 5 million bottles were sold on Veepee. This success can be explained by the expertise of a team of wine enthusiasts who go out to meet wine producers, wine merchants, cooperative wineries or vineyard owners in France and in Europe. Through a cutting-edge offer, Veepee celebrates winemakers and their gems selected for the steady quality of their vintage.

To accompany the growth of this activity, Veepee invested in a new warehouse inaugurated in Beaune in 2015. The 10,000 sq. m logistics distribution centre supports the growth of Veepee's wine and fine food offering by centralising on a single platform, orders for wine and deli products to be shipped to France and Europe.

The facility can handle up to 10,000 parcels per day. Nearly 100 jobs were created in Burgundy when the new warehouse was inaugurated.

In September 2016, Veepee launched its first Wine Fair with a meticulous and unprecedented selection. For fifteen days, members found more than sixty vintages from winegrowers, genuine gems to be discovered, accompanied by a selection of renowned historic partners. A quality offer from a stringent selection by the Veepee team of sommeliers in France and in Europe. In all, a total of eighty references - shipped in 72h - were proposed at delightful prices.

“The Wine fair is an important event for people who love their good wine. It became increasingly obvious that Veepee had to be part of this seasonal event in its own way”, explains Jacques-Antoine Granjon.

Al Pacino at the Théâtre de Paris

Al Pacino was onstage in Paris for the first time at the Théâtre de Paris on 22 and 23 October 2018, two unique dates in France.

Tickets for the intimate show An Evening with Pacino were sold exclusively on Veepee on 11 September 2018. The actor talked about his greatest stage and screen roles, read his most beautiful lines and presented film clips. The legendary star of The Godfather, Scarface, Serpico, Heat, Donnie Brasco and many other worldwide hits has won the highest honours, including Oscar, Golden Globe and Emmy awards.

“Our aim is to offer the worlds of culture and entertainment the best in digital technology,” says Veepee CEO and founder Jacques-Antoine Granjon. “To me, all the performing arts, including theatre, are emotional vectors that bring people together and offer opportunities to enjoy thrilling experiences. Purchasing the Théâtre de Paris in 2013 and, later, the Michodière and Bouffes Parisiens allows us to stage unprecedented events in those venues. We continue to offer that today with this very great artist starring in an event unique in Europe”.

 

Iggy Pop exclusively on Veepee

In 2012, rock legend Iggy Pop chose Veepee to pre-release his new album, Après, entirely self produced. More than 15 million members in eight countries had access to this exceptional sale. Prior to this operation, the website allowed the artist to make his album accessible outside the constraints imposed by record companies. “This album is very different from what I’ve done in the past and is not what the record companies expected from me. More importantly, I was free! I was done with all my obligations. When I was told about Veepee, I immediately liked the concept, the novelty and especially the speed of execution. In one click, the public can discover, listen and buy the album. I like it!” Thanks to this type of operation, Veepee has become an innovative and key distribution channel in the entertainment industry".

Philippe Manoeuvre, a French journalist specialised in rock music, commented this special operation: “There are companies on the Internet, like Veepee, who don’t want rock music to stop. Veepee has rendered a great service to Iggy Pop by distributing his album when the record companies refused to do so. The result was the best record sale for Iggy Pop in France”.

 
 

Johnny Hallyday’s 70th birthday in private

In June 2013, Veepee organised an intimate show at the Théâtre de Paris to celebrate the 70th birthday and the 50 years of career of Johnny Hallyday. The exclusive sale tickets attracted 50 000 people as soon as the sale began. The 1 200 available tickets were sold out in barely one second. With this event, Veepee demonstrated its capacity to control from A to Z the secrets of the entertainment universe: creation of a brand new concert, promotion of a genuine rock music icon, sale of concert tickets at exclusive prices.
